Opening hours for Whit half term holiday 23rd to 31st May 2026

Due to demand we will extending our opening hours this coming Bank Holiday week

times will be:

Saturday 23rd May to Thursday 28th May 10am till 5pm (1000-1700hrs)

Friday 29th May 12 noon till 5pm (1200-1700hrs)

Saturday 30th & Sunday 31st May 10am till 5pm (1000-1700hrs)

ticket kiosk by RSPB café will close at 4pm (1600hrs) each day, with last entry to the island being 415pm (1615pm) each day.

card payments preferred, at the kiosk and now on the island but of course we will also accept cash at both places.

Last weekend opening for 2025 season

This coming Saturday and Sunday the 29th & 30th November is our last opening days for 2025!
If you made yourself that promise to visit this Year you have just this Weekend to fulfill your promise, so call down and see our Lighthouse and guides before we close and reopen just before Easter in 2026.
We will be open this Weekend from 10.30 with last entry at 3.45pm.

Opening days & Hours November 2025

Opening times, weather permitting, will be:

Saturdays & Sundays only during November

Sat, Sun,  = 1030am – 430pm (1030-1630hrs) – last tour @ 4pm (1600hrs)

Tickets are available from our ticket kiosk next to the RSPB café at South Stack

Note: kiosk closes 30 minutes before the last tour to allow time for visitors to make their way to the island & lighthouse

Dogs are not allowed on the lighthouse island

Adults: £10.00

Concessions: £8.00

Children (5-16yrs): £5

Family ticket (2Ad & up to 3 Ch): £25

Payment by card preferred at the kiosk.

Cash ONLY on the lighthouse island (Entrance ticket sales only)

Please note that while our site remains open until 4:30pm, lighthouse admission may close earlier.

This decision is made daily through a dynamic risk assessment, taking into account visitor footfall and capacity within the lighthouse. These measures are in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all visitors and staff.

👉 Before paying for parking, please check with the operator in the pay booth regarding lighthouse admission availability.

We recommend arriving early if you wish to access the lighthouse to avoid disappointment.

Opening times for 2025 season

We are open, weather permitting, Saturday 8th March & Sunday 9th March 2025, hours will be 1030-1630hrs (1030am-430pm).

We will be closed 10th – 14th March and the reopen for the season as from Saturday 15th March 2025.

Hours will be:

Sat – Thurs 10:30am to 4:30pm

Fri 12noon to 5pm

last tour 30 minutes before closing, last access to island 45 minutes before closing.

kiosk at RSPB cafe closes  15 minutes before last access time for lighthouse & island.

cash only accepted on lighthouse island
